Bernice has been teaching in Singapore for more than 40 years in Anglo Chinese School, Anglo Chinese Primary School and Paya Lebar Methodist Girls’ Primary School. She is HOD/Math since 1992. She has authored primary mathematics books since 2001.

Besides teaching, she has been conducting Math workshops on problem solving strategies and skills for teachers since 1998 at Singapore Teachers’ Network and at Cluster level in Singapore.

She also has been conducting Math workshops for parents since 2005 to help parents to understand how to use Problem Solving Strategies to guide their children in the learning of Math.
